What is the benefit of having nylon and steel string on the cello? ?

I wouldn't do they Synoxa...especially not for my bottom strings. They aren't wound tight enough, and the result is going to be a slow respondin. If you can afford it, put Jaegers on bottom and Larsens, or Dominants on top. I think you will be much happier!
