I am 20 years old. How do I tell my strict parents I would like to move closer to campus than commute?

Moving from home to college is a huge step thousands of students take once in their life and now its yours, just tell them you want to move on to be a responsible adult, which you are, and that your finances, with what you've said, seem fine and you've been able to do it without them. You have to flee the nest some time. Plus i bet you don't wanna miss the college experience, you only get that once too. You seem mature enough to handle your money and responsibilities, after all you are 20 and they should understand that. Just tell them everything you wrote above, its convinced me lol.
